The HR platform we built for ourselves — attendance, leave, timesheets, payroll with Indian statutory deductions, projects and client billing, in one system we host and control.
No third-party SaaS holding your employee data — the whole system runs on infrastructure you own.
Why We Built It
Most HR products are priced per employee per month, assume a company shape you don't have, and keep your payroll and identity data on someone else's infrastructure. For a small team in India, that means paying for modules you'll never open while still doing statutory calculations by hand in a spreadsheet.
So we built the system we actually wanted: every module a small company genuinely needs, Indian compliance handled properly, and the whole thing running on infrastructure we own.
Self-hosted
so your payroll and identity records stay with you.
One system
covering onboarding through to a paid client invoice.
Built here
by our own team, and shaped by using it every day.
India-ready
with statutory deductions handled inside the system.
What's Inside
From the day someone is onboarded to the day a client pays the invoice their work generated — every step lives in the same system, so nothing has to be re-keyed between tools.
A full directory with departments, designations, locations and reporting lines. New joiners get an email invitation and set their own password.
Check in and out as many times a day as real work requires; the hours add up. Every day is classified automatically — present, half day, absent, holiday or weekly off.
Leave types and quotas are set by an administrator from a screen, and take effect straight away. Entitlement builds through the year on the accrual schedule you choose, with overlap and balance checks on every application.
Weekly time booked against real projects and tasks, then submitted for approval. Entries stay editable only by the person who logged them, and only before submission.
Per-employee salary structures with a full revision history, a run that moves from open to calculated to approved to paid, and a payslip PDF at the end of it.
Clients, billable or internal projects, members, tasks and milestones — the backbone that timesheets and billing hang off, so hours always trace to a real engagement.
Approved billable hours roll up into GST-correct invoices, with each hour billed exactly once, through a draft, issued and paid lifecycle.
Email that can't silently go missing. A notification is raised together with the change that caused it, then delivered reliably, with reminders sent once and only once.
Roles and permissions scoped to what each person should see — your own record, your reports, or everyone. The menu shows only what you can actually use.
Holiday calendars per office honouring each site's work week, plus attendance and workforce reports — with holidays correctly excluded from leave and attendance maths.
The Product
The interface is deliberately unfussy — fast to load, readable on a laptop or a phone, and built so the thing you need is on the screen you're already looking at.
Built For India
This is the part most generic HR tools leave to you and a spreadsheet. Every deduction is computed in the system, at rates verified against the current financial year.
Provident Fund
Employee and employer contributions, configurable and ready to switch on when the twenty-employee threshold arrives.
ESI
Employee and employer shares computed against the wage threshold, applied only to those who fall within it.
Professional Tax
State slabs applied by salary band — currently West Bengal, matching our Kolkata head office.
Income Tax (TDS)
Both old and new regimes — slabs, standard deduction, surcharge, cess, and the 87A rebate including marginal relief.
GST is handled the way it should be — intra-state CGST and SGST versus inter-state IGST, chosen from the client's place of supply, with the invoice arithmetic checked independently of whoever raised it.
What Makes It Different
HR and payroll data is the kind you cannot quietly get wrong. These are the principles it was built on — the same engineering standards we bring to client work.
Leave movements, salary revisions and administrative actions are kept as a permanent record rather than edited in place, so a balance or a change can always be traced back to how it got that way.
Nobody approves their own leave, their own attendance correction or their own timesheet, and whoever prepares a payroll run isn't the one who signs it off. Enforced by the system, not by convention.
Approval rights aren't handed out by hand. If you have direct reports, you can approve their work; when someone changes team, their access moves with them — so it can never be forgotten on the way out.
Identity numbers are encrypted and shown only as their last few digits. Viewing one in full is a deliberate action by an authorised person, and every such view is recorded.
We built Aurevam HRMS for ourselves, and we build systems like it for clients who'd rather own their software than rent it. Tell us what you're working with.
